Leslie McLeod is a highly specialized attorney at Travieso McLeod, where she serves as the firm’s primary resource for legal writing, research, and appellate practice.

Leslie began her legal career following her graduation from Stetson Law and the University of Florida College of Law where she graduated at the top of her class. Before focusing on plaintiff’s litigation, she gained valuable experience working in securities regulation and complex business law for a Fortune 500 company.

Leslie found her true legal niche when she joined Mac McLeod’s firm in 2008. She is responsible for motion practice—drafting and responding to sophisticated defense motions, including summary judgment and Daubert challenges—and managing the firm’s appellate work, predominantly in the medical malpractice context. Leslie’s dedication to this essential “behind the scenes” work allows the firm’s trial attorneys to maximize their time focusing on litigation and trial strategy, ultimately strengthening client outcomes.

Outside of the office, Leslie is passionate about animals, sharing her home with two beloved dogs. She is an avid golfer and loves hiking in the North Carolina mountains and biking. Above all, she cherishes time spent with her family, especially enjoying her role as a mother to three adult children and a proud grandmother to three young grandsons.
