Robert Travieso is a founding partner at Travieso McLeod, P.A., a boutique trial law firm dedicated to representing individuals and families in the areas of medical malpractice, wrongful death, and catastrophic personal injuries.

Robert began his career fighting for victims as a prosecutor in the nation’s fourth-largest prosecuting office, the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. During his tenure, he served in the Misdemeanor Domestic Violence Unit, the Economic Crimes Unit, and the Career Criminal and Robbery Unit. In these roles, he prosecuted some of the most violent repeat offenders, gaining invaluable trial experience and a deep understanding of the justice system. Robert believes that advocating for his clients’ rights isn’t just a job — it is a personal commitment to integrity and justice.

That experience taught him that the greatest tool for obtaining justice is the jury trial system. Consequently, Robert treats every case as though it will be decided in front of a jury, even though most are settled beforehand. He settles only when the opposing party offers full and fair compensation. Indeed, Robert has tried more jury trials than many lawyers will try in their entire career. This trial-first approach is one of the many things that set him and Travieso McLeod apart.

Robert Travieso has been married to his college sweetheart for over 15 years. He is a devoted father to two young daughters, a role he considers the most significant of his life. The Travieso family resides in northeast Florida, where they frequently enjoy the region’s natural beauty, spending time outdoors at the beautiful local beaches and water parks. Reflecting his lifelong passion for the sport, Robert actively coaches both of his daughters’ soccer teams. As a family, they share a love for traveling and exploring new places, cultures, and experiences together.
